The ABA consists of many retail businesses, service organizations
and professionals, who work together to make the area a better
place in which to do business. The association is guided
by an elected volunteer board of directors and a strong group
of committed people who help the association provide business
and community information programs to assist its members
in building professional and business goodwill.
The Applewood Business Association dates back to 1979,
when eight business owners at the Applewood Shopping Center
formed an organization to help promote their businesses
and Applewood, an area rich in history, divided into three
municipalities;
Wheat Ridge, Lakewood, and unincorporated Jefferson County.
In 1983 the name Applewood Business Association was adopted.
The purpose of the association was, and still is, to promote
the entire Applewood community - its businesses, professionals,
and residents.
The future of the Applewood area is again changing and,
as before, the Applewood Business Association will be there
to help make it the best possible place for business and
its residents. |
