Stemming from the fallout of COVID-19, nonprofits will be facing hardships in fundraising and programming. Join the ABA and a local nonprofit panel about how are navigating the COVID-19 situation and driving their work toward sustainability. The panelists include guests from the Colorado Mountain Club, Foothills Art Center, and Miners Alley Playhouse.

Keegan Young, Executive Director, Colorado Mountain Club

Keegan comes to the CMC from the American Alpine Club in Golden, where he has served in a number of senior management positions, most recently as Managing Director of Membership, Marketing, Development Publications and Volunteer Programs. Keegan brings a wealth of experience with member-based organizations to the CMC, including a strong background in organizational development and fundraising. He is a member of the Club and an accomplished mountaineer with a passion for the outdoor community.

Len Matheo, Executive/Artistic Director at Miners Alley Playhouse

Len Matheo is the Executive/Artistic Director at Miners Alley Playhouse since 2013, as well as a principal and co-founder of Courtroom Performance, Inc., a trial consulting firm dedicated to improving oral advocacy. A professional actor and director, Mr. Matheo has over 25 years of experience in professional theater and has directed many Miners Alley hits, including Once, Our Town, Fun Home, Cabaret, 4000 Miles, My Name is Asher Lev, and The Cripple of Inishmaan, to name a few.

He and his partner, Lisa DeCaro, are authors of the book, The Lawyer’s Winning Edge: Exceptional Courtroom Performance (Bradford Publishing, 2004). He is a frequent speaker at regional seminars and national conventions, and has served as faculty for colleges and conferences nationwide (including UCLA Law School and UC Boulder School of Law, and DU Sturm College of Law). In addition to his book, Mr. Matheo has authored popular papers and articles for national legal publications (including ALI-ABA’s Practical Litigator, ABA’s Tips from the Trenches, The Brief, and Lawyers Weekly USA).

Mr. Matheo has also served on the board of Directors of the Colorado Internet Safety Foundation, The Evergreen Players Theater Company, and the Center for the Arts Evergreen. In his copious free time, he spends time with his wife Lisa and their child, Ella Jane, and his barbecue grill.
