Wheat Ridge Mayor's Letter
I am pleased to inform citizens that the draft Environmental Assessment for the I-70/32nd Avenue Interchange projected has been approved and published for public review.
Also, the Wheat Ridge Business District (WRBD) and WR 2020 have signed a Cooperation Agreement. WR 2020 will administratively support the WRBD. WRBD grant programs will also be marketed in conjunction with WR 2020 programs. WR 2020 will be the marketing arm of the WRBD. I am very excited about this teamwork and kudos to Rob Osborn and the executive committee of the WRBD for working together to develop a solid agreement.
Additionally, Enterprise Wheat Ridge and the WRBD will still cooperate on membership issues and programs. Enterprise Wheat Ridge administers membership for both groups and WRBD grant applications promote Enterprise Wheat Ridge. Grant applicants who are not a member of Enterprise Wheat Ridge become a member automatically and pay the membership fees as part of the grant application.
Over the next year I will be encouraging and facilitating more efforts that create a synergy within the community.
